Thanks for supporting our society at Henlle; it was also good to see Dave Heath back with us…

The excellent weather and the overall condition of the course was certainly reflected in some cracking scores being returned.

In reverse order, and allowing for back-nine countback:-

3rd = Nick J -30

2nd = Leon – 37

1st Richard W-T (43) -takes home the Winner’s trophy & £25 worth of American Golf vouchers.

Testimonials

I love golf but as a business owner I do not have the time to invest in golf membership. SCGS gives me something to look forward to once a month where I can take a break, play a different course each month, be in the fresh air, let my brain take a rest, get some good exercise, what could be better...

Adrian Burton

It seems an ideal avenue to enjoy golf, meet people and have a good time. I like the fact that you don’t have to commit to every event but can play the ones that are convenient

Brian Gilbert

I have been a member of the SCGS for 1 year and even in this short time I have seen the great work that "just playing golf" can provide with the fund raising and hard work by the committee.  The organisation of the golf events is always top class and the friendly welcome I have received from it's members has made the whole experience most enjoyable

Alan Brittain

The profile of members is very diverse in age, occupation, and handicap but without exception, all are very friendly and welcoming to new members. I always look forward to our day out - very informal - for a chat over a bite to eat, a fun round of golf, and a drink in the bar to finish off regaling stories of our successful shots - or otherwise!

  • I think the beauty of SPGS is that it’s a refreshing change to come across a group which is not all about self promotion hard sell and heavy promotion of your own goods and services and products – it’s a much softer light touch – yes business is discussed but pretty soon people get to know and understand each others businesses and the services and facilities you can provide and business has and continues to follow as a result
