Aqualate Friday 19th July 2019

Many thanks to all who supported the Society at Aqualate GC.

My appreciation especially to Steve & Lindsay for running the event whilst I was away on holiday.

Pleasing feedback I have received was the course was a pleasant surprise – it played well, and was in good condition. The greens weren’t too fast either – possibly helping some of the putting!!! It’s not a spectacular course but was good value for money. The lunch they got in was actually really good. Plenty of rolls, crisps, pork pie and sausage rolls, and what we didn’t eat before they kept for us when we came back in; they tried their best to please.

So the scoring… some “sizzling” scores on a day that had very mixed weather.

Sam  – 54 (yes fifty four!!!!!!)

Steve – 43

Andy- 38

Alan- 35

Lindsay- 33

Richard W-T- 27

Richard Lees – 27 (on count back won the Hacker)

Nick Lee- 14 (from 9 holes only)

Nearest the pin – Steve  (about 11Ft in for 2, with previous group Sam at around 14/15Ft)

Longest Drive – Steve  (only Steve and Alan on fairway and were only about 4 feet apart)

It would appear the handicap committee have some work to do………….  😊
